Discover one of Georgia’s most extraordinary historic homes through a guided tour that brings its architecture, innovation, and stories to life.Â
Tour the first three levels of the house
The regular guided tour lasts about one hour and covers the first three levels of the house, offering visitors a rich introduction to its architectural and social history. Each tour highlights the home’s significance as a National Historic Landmark while showcasing its museum collection, stained-glass windows, and remarkable faux finishes – features enjoyed by the 15,000 to 20,000 guests who visit each year.
Because Hay House contains many stairs, visitors should be aware that while the building is wheelchair accessible through the gift shop entrance at the rear of the house, the upper floors are only reachable by stairs.Â
