Student Art Exhibition
Inspired Surroundings is a student-led exhibition shaped by the art and architecture of Hay House. Now in its third year, this program invites Bibb County public high school students to participate at no cost, offering young artists a rare opportunity to study and interpret one of Georgia’s most significant historic homes.
Art Inspired by Hay House
Drawing inspiration from the mansion’s historic interiors, exceptional craftsmanship, and innovative design, students create original works of visual art across a wide range of media. These include painting, ceramics, glass, and other forms that reflect their personal responses to the site’s architecture and history.Â
Exhibition & Recognition

The program culminates in a public exhibition and receptiona at Hay House, where students are honored with awards and recognition for their archievements. Families, educators, and community members are invited to celebrate the creativity and dedication of these emerging artists.Â
Extended Exhibition at the Museum of Arts & Sciences
Following the Hay House exhibition, the student artwork is showcased for a set period at the Museum of Arts & Sciences, giving participants an additional platform to share their work with the broader community.Â
