Beverly Buchanan believed every person’s story deserved to be seen and heard. Through her powerful artwork, she celebrated overlooked histories, communities, and lived experiences.

Join us for a special Jordan Massee Lecture exploring Buchanan’s artistic legacy and her connection to Macon. Susan Welsh, art curator and former Director of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, will discuss her new book and share personal reflections on Buchanan’s life, work, and lasting impact. This event is free and open to the public. Come learn, reflect, and be inspired.
